Fruit Smoothies

I replaced my usual morning coffee with fruit smoothies. I think I'm beginning to love this drink!

1. Avocado
*blend with milk, water and sugar to taste, i don't mixed ice cubes because i don't want cold drinks.

2. Papaya and Banana
*blend with milk and water, no sugar since the banana is already sweet.

My Lunch Today

1/2 cup rice
Sinabawang gulay (Vegetable with soup)
Squash
Malunggay leaves
Onions
Patis

I have also nilagang saba for my morning and afternoon snack with my papaya/banana smoothie... =)

My usual breakfast

Oatmeal with cinnamon

1 cup oatmeal
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 pc banana

I just cook the oatmeal with 1 cup of water for 2 minutes.
Mix the cinnamon powder,
And add the slices of banana.

I sometimes eat this with tea and milk.

Starting a Healthy Diet

It's been a month that i don't eat processed and fried foods. No sodas and sugary drinks too. Congratulations to myself. =) More vegetables, fruits, less rice, and as much as possible no red meat, and organic foods.

It really feels good to eat healthy foods, i am happy with it. I hope that i will be able to sustain this for good. There's only one thing that i am really having a hard time getting over with, oh it's the coffee. I am a coffee lover. What i am doing right now is, i treat myself with a cup of coffee on Saturdays.

I will be posting some recipes which includes my daily healthy diet, more Filipino dishes.
